Rainbow Alex is...

My name is Alex Ross, but everybody calls me Rainbow. I am a colourful and creative person, a jack-of-many-trades so to speak.

From a young age I started to explore the world outside of what was considered ‘normal’ and wanted to learn more about exceptional things and places off the beaten tracks. I also developed a passion for sharing my knowledge with others. Which is why I became a snowboard instructor at the age of 16. I also started my first job around that age while I was still at school.

After finishing my A levels I went to university for two years. The given routine in following a career wasn’t really what I thought to be satisfying. So I left uni to travel the world and I was given the unique opportunity to acquire lots of new skills and deepen my knowledge in multiple ways. For the next decade of my life I gained a lot of experience and broadened my skills taking various most interesting jobs all around the world. What fascinated me most was attending and organising juggling and circus conventions all around the world and I am very grateful for all the awesome people I got – and am still getting to – work with during those events.

In 2012 I returned to Germany and went back to university. Three years later I graduated in Tourism Management as well as becoming a coach for traditional archery. Since then I have been living in Ravensburg in southern Germany working hard to make use of my numerous skills. I founded a band called „Flirting with Disaster“ in 2017 and focused a lot on my musical achievements. A year later I got into prop making opening an entirely new creative field for myself which I am still exploring with genuine passion.

In 2019 I became self employed as a circus teacher, musician and prop maker. After so many outstanding pieces of experience in different fields and with exciting people I am now back to work with what I love doing and I am happy about that.
